“There’s not a star in heaven that we can’t reach”
High School Musical could very well be my favourite movie, with a classic Disney plot, characters and conclusion, but I really think that it’s the music that brings it all together. Why is it that I constantly find myself singing or humming the tunes of the songs in public? It’s definitely a combination of the amazing job with the lyrics, rhythm, harmonizing, and catchiness of the signature songs of High School Musical.

Get'cha Head In The Game - B5
Start Of Something New (Karaoke Instrumental)
Breaking Free (Karaoke Instrumental)
There's a neat remix by B5 on “Get’cha Head In The Game” with a slightly different rhythm and more ‘ooh’s and ‘oh’s and no ‘whoo’. I did notice that in the first chorus, it says, “I gotta get’cha (instead of ‘my’) head in the game”, maybe a mistake, maybe on purpose for effect.
A definite bonus, this album comes along with karaoke instrumental versions of “Breaking Free” and “Start of Something New”. I guess it wasn’t enough to have the sing along version on the DVD. The unique and talented voices of Zac Efron, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, and Lucas Gabreel, and well, the entire cast (We’re All In This Together) really make it all come together. I really think Disney should give the composers a pat on the back, maybe give them a raise, and keep them around for the High School Musical sequel. The songs have amazing melodies, non-cheesy lyrics and a great deal of harmonizing that are just right for the feel of the movie. I can’t wait for High School Musical 2.
