There are many more things than just extremely long song titles and lovable, meaningful lyrics that have >made Fall Out Boy go from being an outsider band that nobody’s heard of to crowd pleasing and top of the charts. First of all, the long song titles can really be quite a pain, but on the other side, I’m pretty sure that Fall Out Boy is the only band that has a song titled “Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name Of This Song So We Wouldn’t Get Sued” or “I Slept With Someone From Fall Out Boy And All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me”.

It makes me think that the most popular songs are “Dance, Dance” and “Sugar, We’re Going Down” because they have the shortest titles, courtesy of the radio DJ’s own sake, not having to quickly spill out 20 syllables before the song intro starts.
The lyrics, what can I say? They're cute, humble yet egoistic lyrics in the first song (see above for title), starts off with “Brothers and sisters put this record down, take my advice cause we are bad news....” and goes on with “we’re only liars but we’re the best.... only good cause you can have almost famous friends” I love the cute love song, “A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me”, about a boy falling for his beautiful and popular childhood friend. It goes, “cause you’re just the girl all the boys want to dance with, and I’m just the boy who’s had too many chances”
The music is a little harder, sometimes a bit stiff, but all in unison. It fits well with the lyrics, nice harmonization and not too overpowering. A definite good buy, the best songs are not only the ones you hear on the radio, I personally like “Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name Of This Song So We Wouldn’t Get Sued”, “Champagne For My Real Friends, Real Pain For My Sham Friends” and “A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More “Touch Me””.
