Sisterhood of the Travelling PantsCall some friends, get some snacks and enjoy watching The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. Be prepared to share some laughs and touching moments. Warning: If you cry easily you might want to have some Kleenex handy.

Fans of the book by Ann Brashares may be disappointed in this movie, based on her book by the same name. As most movies based on books are, this one has also had some alterations made to it. Most of the story stays true to the book except mainly for Lena's summer experience.

Plot

Four girls, Bridget, Carmen, Tibby and Lena have been best friends practically since birth and now, as teens, are heading off in separate directions. The 'thing' that binds them while they're apart are a pair of jeans that miraculously fit all of their different body types. The girls agree to each spend a week with the pants before sending them on to the next friend. The pants are with them through their experiences and hardships and act as a way of bonding the girls while they are apart.

The Experiences

Lena: Lena is travelling to Greece to spend time with her grandparents and while there she meets Kostos. Unfortunately, her grandparents really dislike him and his family and Lena is faced with the question of whether she honours her grandparents or follows her heart.

Carmen: Carmen has the opportunity to spend the summer with her dad. Upon arriving at his 'new' home, she discovers her father has a fiancée and she struggles with feeling accepted in his new life.

Tibby: To earn money for new video equipment, Tibby stays at home and has a summer job at Wall-Mans. Tibby meets Bailey and together, though against Tibby's liking, they work on her documentary.

Bridget: Eric, a coach at her soccer camp, becomes the object of Bridget's affection. Bridget is used to getting what she wants and she wants Eric. The only problem: relationships with coaches are strictly forbidden.
