Star Trek: The Wrath of KhanBasically, Alex Fletcher, from the 80’s group Pop!, has another chance for a comeback. All he has to do is write a song for singing sensation Cora (the new Britney/Christina) that will allow her to help her deal with her breakup from her most recent boyfriend. Only, he has a week to do this and Alex is a terrible song writer.

He’s desperately trying to think of the lyrics to the song ‘Way Back to Love,’ when Sophie, who is replacing the lady who waters his plants, mumbles lyrics to herself. Alex overhears them and is really impressed; so impressed that he talks her into helping him write the song with him. While trying to climb his way back to the top, Alex, along with Sophie, write a great song - exactly what Cora was looking for - and end up developing a relationship.

Cora changes the song from what Sophie and Alex have produced and Sophie is truely upset. Alex wants Sophie to accept the changes Cora has made, as it’s his way to becoming big again. Sophie reluctantly does so, but by doing so, she ends her relationship with Alex. Alex wants her back and takes some big measures to prove this to her.

Many laughs are provided throughout the movie, and the songs (which were sung by the actors) are very catchy. I’ve had one of the songs in my head for sometime now. Even the background events are comical. Objective content includes the fact that Cora wears some pretty skimpy outfits.

Famous faces include Hugh Grant, Drew Berrymore, Brad Garrett who was Robert (Raymond’s brother) from Everybody Loves Raymond and Kristen Johnston who was Sally in 3rd Rock from the Sun. They comprise a great, humorous cast.
