The Nanny DiariesAnnie ‘Nanny’ Braddock, a smart college grad has a very bright career path laid out ahead of her. Too bright in fact, so she decides she needs to take some time off to find out what it is she really wants to do, and who exactly she is.

While trying to decide who she is during a walk in the park, Annie happens upon a life-altering course. A little boy is about to be hit by a distracted man on a mobile scooter. Annie quickly jumps up to save the boy, whom she later finds out is Grayer. His mother quickly locates them, and during introductions, mistakes Annie for a nanny. Soon after, Annie starts a new job (behind her mother’s back) of being Grayer’s nanny. But being employed by the X’s is not all it’s cut out to be.

The movie is based on Annie’s research/field paper for one of her courses and so some names are kept confidential. Examples are Mr. and Mrs. X and Annie’s Harvard Hottie.

On the job, Annie keeps being sucked deeper and deeper into the family’s life - and all the troubles that go along with it. Annie stays devoted for Grayer’s sake. There are certain rules Annie must follow as well as try to keep up with the family’s personal problems.

The movie focuses on Annie’s life, but also with the bonds between the X’s, and how Annie deals with everything.

Based on the novel, The Nanny Diaries, by Emma Mclaughlin and Nicola Kraus, the movie stayed pretty true to the book.

The actors did a great job and it was easy to relate to the situations they went through. It was really well done, and a must see for those who enjoyed the book.
